چکیده

Abstract Background Cognitive impairment (CI) is a common finding in multiple sclerosis (MS); however, there limited information about its prevalence mildly disabled cases. We aimed to determine the most affected domains, and also relation between demographic factors cognitive outcomes relapsing–remitting MS (RRMS). Results Ninety-one RRMS patients with expanded disability status scale (EDSS) < 4 literacy level above 9 years, were recruited. Based on Minimal Assessment of Function (MACFIMS) battery, CI was observed 19.8% while 40.60% had at least one failure tests. The impaired domain processing speed working memory (27.5%). There no significant difference men women terms our sample ( p -values > 0.05). Disease duration = 0.01), EDSS education 0.01) significantly different non-CI patients, age 0.72), sex 0.50), diagnostic gap 0.89), frequency relapses 0.22), did not differ considerably. Conclusions experience some degrees that may present even before onset remarkable physical disability; nevertheless, higher score longer disease increases risk CI. These findings suggest routine assessment patients.
